Tired and Cleaning--Product Review!!

Maura woke up again last night, only once, though. But she woke up screaming because she found herself on her tummy. She's always been a great sleeper, and slept easily on her back like all the books and docs tell you to do. Now that she's rolling (all the time!), she is finding herself on her tummy. She has never slept that way, and I don't know if she'll adapt to sleeping that way. I guess until she figures out how to, none of us will sleep.

I, like Kether, am very worried about SIDS. So last night, I slept in the room next to hers (well, barely slept) so that I code listen for her. I went in a few times to flip her back to her tummy. I can't keep doing this. I'm too tired.

Thanks for your comments (Lisa--Hi!!). I'm not sure that the pacifier is the deal anymore. She got her pacifier last night successfully. And, to be honest, I want her to use her pacifier. Every kid in my family gets hooked on either a pacifier or thumb. After talking with our dentist, we decided that the pacifier was the lesser of two evils. I have decided that I'm not going to go in to replace it right away every time. She will learn to either fall back asleep without it or find it herself. She really doesn't use it much anyway.

I think that she just has a lot going on right now. Teething (maybe?), growth spurt (she's eating a ton all of a sudden), rolling, and the pacifier thing. I hope that we'll all adjust before too long.

Meanwhile, my focus has changed back to sleep when she sleeps.

I will still happily take advice from you guys on how to cope!!

Product Review--The Pet Hair Magnet

I was recently introduced to this. I now believe that anyone with a pet should own at least one. I have two cats, and I thought that my furniture was fairly clean of cat hair because I vacuum them. I was so wrong. This thing picks up hair that I couldn't even see there! It's cheap (we like that), easy (we like that, too!), and everyone should have one.

When Tristyn first started teething she would wake up in the middle of the night screaming, for no apparent reason. I didn't know what was going on with her until I realized that her gums were bothering her. She did this on and off for a couple of weeks before it finally stopped. I didn't try orajel during that time so I don't know if that would help by maybe you could see if that would work? Just an idea ;)

Thanks for the product review! I am actually waiting on Tris to wake up so that we can head to Wal-Mart, I think I'll pick one of those up!

Liam is waking and crying now, too. I think he's teething and he HATES the orajel.

I'm getting better about him being on his tummy as he INSISTS on sleeping on his tummy (can I blame him? I'm a tummy sleeper). The doctor said I shouldn't worry and that he's fine. I'm trying desperately not to worry. Its hard.

I've been waiting for the pet hair magnet to be in stock at Walmart for some time. I did get a rubber pet hair brush that gets stuff off my velvet couch well. Its great. Thank goodness because I have a friggin menagerie who is shedding like you wouldn't believe.

Yep, I went through a few weeks like that with Delaney - out of the blue she just kept waking up crying when she normally is a great sleeper. After her teeth broke through we slowly got back to the norm.

My ped also said that its normal for babies to begin to wake again around 6 months. Usually not b/c of hunger but rather some relation to a form of seperation anxiety?

Hang in there! Hugs!
