How did she do that??

I am a firm believer in the philosophies of The Happiest Baby On the Block. I have been swaddling Maura every night since her birth. When she loses it in the evening, and starts her screaming, I swaddle her, and within a minute, she calms right down. When I lay her in bed at night, she is swaddled, and falls asleep without fuss. She's very happy to be wrapped tightly.

But since she is ending her "forth trimester," I decided that the swaddling will have to end. I bought her warm jammies (it's still pretty cool here at night), and laid her in bed without her "magic" blankie wrapped around her.

It took her a while to fall asleep, but she still didn't really fuss (she's such a good baby!), and she woke up about an hour later, to complain about losing her binky, and then fall right back asleep. And then there was nothing. I slept, and I assume she slept, through the night. The monitor was on and right next to my head, as it always is, and I heard nothing. She slept nine hours!!

I went into her room this morning when I heard that she was awake. She grinned up at me (I love it when she wakes up happy!!) from the end of her crib!!! How did she wiggle her way to the foot of her bed?? I could see through pushing her little legs how she might end up at the top of her crib, but how'd she get to the foot of the crib??

I wish that I had had a camera in there last night!!
