Pictures to update you....(edit at bottom!)

Ok, I've been promising pictures. Here is my latest pregnancy shot. You can really tell that I'm starting to retain water. My face is getting chubby!

I'm looking for symptoms of pre-e, Stephanie!! So far no headache, and the BP's still fine!! But I'll touch base with the doc again next Tuesday.

And here's the blanket that I made for the Christening. I'm pretty proud of how it turned out.

Thank you again for all of your support! I know that the hormones probably cause me to overreact a bit. But you all are right, this is a very stressful time right now. I don't need to be worrying over things that I can't control (like my in-laws!). So I'm going to try to focus on dh, Charm, and myself for the next few weeks. The other stuff, I'll worry about as the time nears.

For the Anonymous poster--I completely meant no insult or injury to anyone has has made a decision other than mine. I apologize for offending you and others, if I did. I believe that the decision to stay at home or work away from home is a very personal one, and unique to every situation. I was a nanny for five years prior to this career, and I completely support working parents. The decision that I have made to stay home with my children is what is best for me and my family at this time.

I thank you for pointing this out to me. You have certainly given me a new perspective.

You look awesome! I can't tell at all that you are retaining water. For only being a month away, you look fantastic! I can only hope I look half as good :)

And that blanket - OMG - how beautiful! Now I'm even more mad about your MIL situation. How could she turn her nose at that? You did an awesome job on it. Definitely, without question, use it!!!!

Aw, your blanket is beautiful. And completely appropriate (as if there were a doubt).

Now that you're in a better mood ;-), I have a comment about something from your last entry:

"I am not returning to work, so that I can raise my children, not somebody else."

I'm sure you didn't mean this to say that those of us who use daycare are "letting someone else raise our children." You probably weren't aware that it's a hurtful thing to say. Just like, maybe, your MIL wasn't aware that her comments about your blanket were hurtful. The truth is, everyone has a blanket that's right for them, and everyone has a decision (work vs stay at home) that's right for them, and we should respect others' decisions.

Your blanket is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! I can't believe your MIL gave you such a hard time knowing you planned on using it for Charm's christening! Don't worry about her... And you look wonderful! I think my belly is as big as yours already, LOL! ;) Best wishes!

From the anonymous poster! :-) I'm sorry, I didn't mean to post anonymously. I always forget that Blogger doesn't accept my e-mail addy. Anyway, thanks for what you said; I appreciate it. I knew that you didn't mean to say anything hurtful, which is why I pointed it out (if I thought you were just being a bitch I would have just walked away!) :-D

The blanket is GORGEOUS and you look great! As to the previous ordeal with your in-laws...you are a much bigger person than I would be to even use it at the party after you proudly shared your plans with them!! Not too much longer until you meet Charm! :)

Just dropping by to say you've been on my mind a lot lately. You're heading down the home stretch and I'm getting *so* excited. I can't wait to see if Charm is a boy or a girl.
Much love and prayers. =)
