I'll take some whine with my cheese...
First, I want to start off by saying that I love being pregnant, I love this child, and I'd go through a year of pain to have this (or any) baby.
Having said that, I need to whine.
My hip joints, lower back, and sciatic are hurting. A lot. I can't sleep. I can only get comfortable for maybe an hour at a time at night. This morning the only position I am comfortable in for more than 15 minutes is standing up! My doctor suggested sleeping on the side opposite the hip with the most pain. So that makes both hips hurt about the same after a while. I have a body pillow, which doesn't help at all, so I sleep with 4-5 regular pillows stuffed all around me. My poor dh is stuck dealing with me repositioning and shuffling pillows all night long, and that's not even mentioning how many times I have to get up for the bathroom every night!
Any ideas out there?? Any magic remedies? Will this go away immediately after birth, or will I be sore for a while after? HEEELLLLPPPP!!!!

Christine, What you describe seems so uncomfortable. I have no advice for you, but I am interested in seeing what others have to say. You must be exhausted in the morning. Hang-in there. I can't believe you are almost 35 weeks. I'm so excited for you! Take care & I hope you are able to find a comfortable position soon. Best wishes, Cara A
I wish I had some magic advice, but since I don't even really know what you're going through, I don't! I have heard from friends that they've sort of built up the bed with pillows and cushions so that they could sleep almost sitting up - but it sounds like you're already trying the pillow thing. I am a firm believer that if all else fails a bubble bath will help! And, I guess the real magic "fix" will be giving birth to Charm!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news. But you're pretty much stuck hurting until baby get's here. Then you will have new aches and pains .. but atleast these go away!!! If it's any comfort .. I am miserable right along with you. I hurt all over. Hips, Pelvis (feels like it's being ripped apart), back, sciatic nerve (my butt feels like I have been beat!!!). We can commiserate with each other. Atleast you are closer than me!!! I am not quite 32 weeks. I think being on bedrest has made me hurt worse this go round than last time with Chip. I don't remember being quite so sore so early with Chip. Between being sore, frequent potty trips, and a toddler that has decided to start waking up at 5 am .. I feel like a zombie from lack of sleep.
Christine I soooo feel for you. I was miserable my last weeks. It took me forever to walk anywhere because of excruciating pain in my pelvis. My hips hurt and I couldn't sleep and I, too, slept with a hundred pillows. What I can tell you is that all went away. As soon as my water broke, I could walk better than I'd walked in a month or more. All my pregnancy related pain is gone! (the carpel tunnel, hips, pelvis, back, swollen ankles, hands, etc.)gone, gone gone.
Hang in there. I know its awful.
35 weeks?? YAY!! Two more weeks to FULL TERM!
Christine- ((((hugs))) I definately know how your feeling. when charm comes you will feel so much better, for me the only way I could get comfy starting at 36 weeks, was to put my legs up on Pat while we were sleeping. I tossed and turned so bad, but if I had my legs elevated I could sleep ok. I did get major cramps, and pains at 36 weeks and it was so horrible I cried, and finally at 3am I took a tylenol, the first of any meds I took in my intire pg, and it knocked me out, if your in pain it is ok to take tylenol. anyways, Charm will be here soon and your pain will be over with. love you
Christine, I got nothing. No advice. Wish I did. Just know that all of us are thinking about you and hoping that you and Charm make it through these next few weeks painfree. Please let me know if there's anything I can do, I'm only a short drive away.
