A quick farewell!

I'm leaving tomorrow to head home for my baby shower. I'm really looking forward to this. I never thought that I'd make it this far. I never thought that we'd actually get to the point where the women in my family were gathering to celebrate the upcoming birth of my child. You know, the presents thing is pretty cool, but I wouldn't be disappointed if everyone came empty-handed. Because I know that they all come with a full heart. I want to celebrate this baby with the women that I love. And I can't wait.

I wish that you could all join me!! I wish that we could have some sort of virtual shower. I've felt more support from you, my Sistas, than anyone in the real world could possible understand. The only thing that I'd change about our virtual shower, is that every one of you would come with full hearts and full bellies, and we could celebrate the births of all of our babies. That is my wish for a Sistas' Shower.

On another note, dh had more blood drawn this week to test fro HCV. The results were again negative. The further away we get from the exposure, the more reliable those results are, so this is very good. He called me from work to let me know, and I just cried. Such relief in those tears. We celebrated over dinner last night. He even let himself have some wine. I brought desserts (yum!!). His next test will be at the 6 month mark, so sometime around May of this year.

Wow, our lives will be so different by then!!
