On to the New Year!!

I hope that everyone out there had a wonderful Holiday. Mine was very busy, but really fulfilling, as well. With as much as I treasure peace and quiet, I would never trade the noise and chaos that a family gathering can bring!!

I'm still in my hometown, staying at my parents' house. Their house has been very crowded, as we all came in for Christmas this year. With seven adults and two rowdy children, I forgot how fun it can be fighting over two small bathrooms!! But my DB and SIL left this morning with my niece and nephew, so the house is once again, quiet. My parents and my dh are all resting, and there is finally grown up programming on the television. I will be very happy if I never see the Scooby Doo Christmas DVD again!!

We are flying home tomorrow, and I have to admit, I'm looking forward to it. I love being here and visiting with everyone that I can, but it will be so good to get back home. And there isn't anything better for those nesting urges than to know that there are still boxes and boxes and a home to make when we return!! I can't wait to attack those when I get back!!

On to some exciting news. We have a contract on our house back in CT. The buyers want to close ASAP, so it may all be over in a matter of days. Yes, I said DAYS! Cross your fingers that all goes well with whatever inspections that they try to do between now and then. It will be a little sad to see that house go for good, but it will also be a huge relief!!

I have developed a favorite hobby. It's not exactly new, but it's become an obsession now. I just can't get enough! I love to lay in bed and watch Charm's rolling movements and sharp jabs and kicks. It's sort of like watching a meteor shower--random, magical, and truly amazing. I could spend all day watching my belly if I had the time.

Oh, and we can now listen to the heartbeat over the stethoscope! We've been able to find it occasionally for a little while, but now it's become easier to find. This morning, Charm was playing a game with dh. It seemed that every spot that he placed the head of the stethoscope, Charm would give him a good kick. We were both laughing so hard after a while that we never did get back to looking for the heartbeat again!

And Charm's newest trick is sticking a little foot in my ribs. It doesn't hurt (yet) but it sure feels strange!

I would think that I will be able to check in again before the New Year, but if I don't I wish you all a wonderful 2005, full of little feet, baby bellies and BFPs!

Looking back on 2004, I am sad for all of the heartache that so many of us have experienced. But I honestly wouldn't trade it for the wonderful friendships that I've made with many of you along the way. I'm truly grateful for my community of sista's out there. I couldn't have made it through all of this without you.

Happy New Year!

That is awesome news about the house - I hope that everything goes through. What a way to end the year!

I can totally relate, the year has been full of trials, but I wouldn't trade them.

Charm is already too cute!

Happy New Year to you too! 2005 will bring so many changes for you - - I hope they are all thrilling. It's good to hear how much fun you are having with Charm -- sort of cheap entertainment, huh? Enjoy these last weeks of pregnancy. ((HUGS))
