Something to keep you busy while I'm away...

Well, Dh and I are headed to PA again this weekend. I don't expect to have much luck, but we'll see what happens. I'm not even sure what we are looking at this time.

Monday, Mom arrives to help me register. I can't believe that the time is already here! I assumed by 19 weeks (That's what I'll be this weekend!!!) that I'd be perfectly confident and giddy-pregnant. But I still feel like plain old me. Just bigger. I'm sure that having Mom here will help me get into the spirit of things. She's good like that.

So, to keep you busy while I'm away.....

19. I never really had a lot of girlfriends growing up. Most of my friends were guys. I always thought that teenage boys were a hech of a lot easier to get along with than teenage girls! Now that I'm an adult, I cherish my girlfriends. They are the sisters that I never had.

20. I love doing or being the unexpected. You know what I mean. We all form ideas about the people that we know. I love when those opinions of me are wrong. I guess it's the deeply embedded rebel in me!!

21. I love Autumn. The color is beautiful in CT right now. I love the chill in the air, and the warmth of the sun. I wish that it could last longer. And I wish that it didn't lead right into winter!!

22. I'm not voting. Yes, it's true. And I think that this is a big confession right now, with the election around the corner. The truth is, it won't matter whether I vote or not, because I live in a state where the majority of the people believe in the opposite party. And I mean the majority. Like, dh and I are the only two here that think otherwise. But I'm following the election closely, and I strongly believe that if you live in a swing state, it is essential that you vote. Because your vote WILL count. (I'm saying this to just get it out in the open. I know this is a heated subject. Comment if you want. But be respectful. I am totally respectful of everyone else's views here.)

I haven't registered yet. I'm hoping I can do that next week. Have fun registering!!
Enjoy this weekend and I hope you find something.
I understand why you aren't voting. I'm going to vote because there are some local issues that I'm interested in, but like you my Presidential vote won't make much difference in my state.

Hoping you have fun while you are gone. As for the voting thing. I don't know whether my vote will make a difference .. but because I remember how hard women had to fight to get the right to vote. I vote every time. I will never take that freedom for granted. Whether I feel like it will "count" or not. Just remember there may be more people out there like you who feel that their vote won't matter and so they stay home too. If you all got together and went to the polls you might just make a difference.

Hmm, you've got me wondering about your political beliefs, and I think I'm surprised, unless I'm wrong about where our little state stands on the political spectrum, which I may be, since I'm really only familiar with this corner of the state. Don't worry, though, I won't judge...even Gregg and I are on different sides, so our votes are pretty much going to cancel each other out, which is why we didn't vote the last time. I'm planning to vote this time around, though, because I'm still feeling guilty for not voting the last time! I am rambling...

Anyhoo, I hope all went well in PA this weekend. No decisions yet, huh? How's Paul doing with it all?? We really do need to get together soon to catch up and officially celebrate BOTH of our beans. I'll e-mail ya soon...I promise! :)
