My First Baby Shower!!
Every now and then, a group of women that I used to work with, friends, all get together for dinner. Tonight, we were meeting at Karen's house for a potluck. Karen told me to bring dh so that her dh would have someone to play with.
We show up at her house, late, I might add, to find that it was actually a surprise baby shower! For me! I was stunned!! And apparently, the stalling that my dh was doing was INTENTIONAL so that we wouldn't be too early!! I've never had a successful surprised party!! I'm always the one doing the surprising, not the one being surprised!!! I'm still stunned!! They got me good!!
Anyway, we had a great dinner, and I got a bunch of really cute things. It was so fun!! I think that dh was a little stunned by all of the baby stuff that was coming home with us, too. That added to the fun just a little...I love to see him squirm!!
Well, off to bed. I'm tired....

Oh Christine that is so cool & thoughtful. Good that "got" you. Surprises are fun, especially when you get presents!
That's awesome! I can't even imagine coming home with baby stuff yet, but it must feel so great!! I'm so glad they surprised you. I'm usually the "surpriser" too and it's nice to be surprised once in a while.
