Ka-chunk-Ka-chunk-Ka-chunk
That's what it sounded like. The heartbeat! We have a heartbeat! Oh my God! Thank you!
The baby (there's actually a baby in there!! Finally!) measured 6 weeks, 5 days--right on target! The heartbeat was measured at 122 bpm. I wish that it were faster, but I'll take whatever I can get at this point!! The spotting was most likely caused by a sub-chorionic bleed. I need to do some research on this, but I think that these are pretty common, and may cause bleeding, but not necessarily put the pregnancy at risk. I'll have to update with whatever I find.
I'm so relieved, and scared (I know that we aren't out of the woods just yet), and hopeful, and EXHAUSTED!
I'll try to scan the u/s pictures and post them later.

Christine, I am so happy for you!!!! What a feling that must of been to hear the ka-chunking....Glad to hear spot is nothing to fear & all is on schedule. As always you guys are in my prayers. Take Care of yourself:)

HOLY COW!! I don't check in on you for a few HOURS and I miss something HUGE. I'm SO sorry I wasn't here this morning, but you know I am always keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. I usually check in first thing, but I didn't have much time this morning since I had to drop Ashley at camp and zoom off to oil change and haircut appointments. All I had time to do was post my temp on FF. I am SO happy and relieved that you heard that h/b -- I KNEW you would, just not this soon!!!! :) I was stumped when I first saw the post, and then understood when I read on to the earlier one from this morning. CONGRATULATIONS my dear friend!! Now we REALLY have reason to get together and CELEBRATE!!

What a great U/S pic. FYI my pics at 6 weeks were much smaller just 2 little dots, so this is looking really good! I am so happy for you!
